Update as of Saturday May 13, 2006

Hello Everyone,

Today was a good day. Maria didn't have treatment and didn't have any tubes sticking out of her. She was happy all day. It was about 88 degrees here and Maria went swimming! This was something that Maria was unable to do since we arrived. She loved it! Maria, the boys and dad all played in the pool while mom and Blake watched with smiles.

I will say this, THE WATER WAS COLD!.
This was the first really nice day in about 2 1/2 weeks. Sun block was on.

Maria made mom a really nice card for Mother's Day all on her own and then she put it in a secret hiding place, she also did the boys a favor and put their cards with her's.....Mom's going to love em.

Have a Happy Mother's Day everyone.

We are going to enjoy this moment for a little while. We will post again soon with more details.

Thank you for your continued prayers.
Ed and Megan

How wonderful that you all were able to enjoy Mother's Day as a family, especially our wonderful Maria!

Remember in the gospel when Mary MARVELS at Simeon's prophecy? She is not marveling that Simeon is saying this baby is the Savior of the world, for she already knew that, but Mary MARVELLED at the way God was choosing to reveal Himself to the world. In ways we would not have guessed...to humble shepherds in the fields, to three wise men, and now to an old man and women outside the temple. God's ways are a mystery. But we cannot improve upon His plans. I MARVEL at your ability to swim and play and hide mother's day cards despite the crisis your family is facing! I MARVEL at Maria's beautiful smile! I am praying for you all.

Hi Megan.
I just received an e-mail about what your precious little Maria is going through and read through every word of your updates on the website. My heart aches for you and your family as you face this nightmare. Our Danny and your Maria are the same age and I remember sharing their stories in MOPS!
What I remember most about you was your always smiling face and positive attitude even in some shaky times. You always have an encouraging word and prayer for someone else in need and I have no doubt that the Lord will get you all through this. I have passed on your story to every prayer warrior that I know of via e-mail and we'll add our prayers onto all of those already out there! Only God can do a miracle so let's just pray for one and then get out of His way and expect it to happen!! I will always treasure the bonds formed in MOPs and there is always a very special place in my heart for all of our little Moppets. You've had rough starts with those babies and you have been a walking example of what God can do. You and Ed and all of your little ones
are in the greatest of care!!
Much love and always, prayers,
Kathy Meder

What a happy day it must have been!
My family and I continue to pray for all of you. Ed and Megan, I don't know if you remember meeting me. I lived next door to Ed and Arlene in Austin. We have remained friends and I love her dearly. God will work a miracle!

I heard about Maria from some of my friends. My children go to St. Bernadette's and my daughter is a Daisy and pen pals with the kindergartners at St. Raphael. I just wanted to tell you that I think of you often, and pray everyday for your little girl. May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May you recieve the miracle you pray for with all of your hearts. God Bless Maria.

I asked the Lord to bless you as I prayed for you today, To guide you and protect you as you go along your way......His love is always with you his promises are true, And when we give him all our faith
He's sure to see us through.
So when the road you're traveling on seems difficult at best....
Just remember I''m here praying and God will do the rest.
God Bless Your Family!
