Hello Everyone,
Thank you to all of you who are checking in with us on our one-year anniversary since diagnosis. Palm Sunday. It is a special day for us and we thank God for the time He has given us with Maria. We are celebrating life today, and we hope that you do too.
Maria’s attitude and the love that she shares are better and stronger than ever. She continues to draw the most beautiful pictures for us and she laughs a lot. We love hearing that laugh. Marc Quayle, Sophie’s dad, was over the other night for dinner and when he got here he asked where Maria was and I told him she was outside playing. We both smiled and he pointed out what a beautiful thing that is, and he is right. We are so grateful to God for each day and every little thing that comes with it. Maria is outside playing right now as I write this post. She just stepped in to get a grocery bag because she is going on a “nature walk” with her friend next door. My smile is from ear to ear.
We continue to prepare for whatever may come our way. A couple of Maria’s symptoms have gotten slightly worse, but we remain joyful, hopeful and positive. It is important to us that the atmosphere surrounding us stays upbeat. No, it isn’t always easy. I struggled a bit at Church this morning, but my good friend said to me, “Believe, Megan. Just believe.” And that is right. If we believe, things will be ok, no matter what the circumstances.
So there may be a few more of those cold winter days left, but we’re looking forward to the Spring.
God bless all of you and thank you for your continued prayers for Maria.
Love,
Ed and Megan

Have been thinking of you all so much today with Maria's one year anniversary. What beautiful weather God has given for you to celebrate life on this significant day!
None of us will ever stop believing Megan...ever. God continues to stay close to you, and always will.
Much love to all of you!

You know I was already praying for you this weekend and keeping you close in my heart. Palm Sunday service was beautiful at Bay Pres and a time of reflection. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring kleenex and had a hard time holding back tears -- from the moment of listing Maria and Sophie on the prayer request card to when the Promise Choir & Orchestra did a beautiful anthem of "Amazing Grace". All I could think about was how beautifully my G-ma would sing that in church and how God has shown such amazing grace to Maria. I pray so hard that she will shine her smile for a very long time to come. And, I BELIEVE she will.
Megan, remember what I wrote to you a year ago?
"Maria will show us the awesome work that the Lord can do."
Well, she already has and will continue to do so!
With Faith, Hope, Love and Prayers,
Betsy
So glad to hear Maria is outside playing and enjoying the weather. We thought of her today and said an extra special prayer at dinner time. Stay strong and keep believing. We will continue to send the prayers and positive thoughts your way.
The sun was shining bright for a reason today! It goes to show God is watching over Maria! Don't ever stop believing in Maria's Miracle! We thought of Maria often today and prayed morning, noon and night for her today as we always do. We prayed for Maria to be blessed with many more April 1st anniversaries!
God Bless all of you today on this VERY special day!
Lots of Love,
John, Jackie, Jack & Murphy
Tonight I am praying that Maria has a beautiful spring and a long, lazy summer filled with lots of nature walks and many playdates!
Megan,
Although I realize now that I knew you in high school, I was honored to "meet you" last night as Maria's mother. I have spent the past year being inspired by your faith, courage, and most of all your simple joy. My prayer for you is that there are a million more moments to make you smile as you continue on this journey with your family.

Did you ever imagine how much your lives would change in a year's time? You an Maria have accomplished so much by your examples and hard work! May there be many more play days ahead for Maria, and may you continue to hear her laughter in your lives. I will keep you in my prayers as you continue on this journey. God bless all of you.
Ed & Megan,
She is here. She's loved and we all thank God for her in your lives. That is why Jesus suffered on the cross that we would trust in Him. He suffered for us, and her and just so we would all have a little faith. Thank you for the honor you bestow to Him and I pray that you continue to be blessed as a family and Maria's joy and health to continue in your lives. Have a Happy Easter everyone!!
Love, Brig & Phil Nativio
Dear Ed and Megan,
Your positive attitude is a tremendous inspiration to us, as I am sure it is to Maria. May God bless you. May The Risen Lord find His presence with you and your family.

Maria & Family,
I wanted to wish you all a nice Easter, may it be the best one yet. Please know I think of and pray for Maria's complete healing every day. She is such a beautiful girl. Thanks Ed & Megan for sharing her journey with us.
God Bless You All.
Rich (Angel Matthew's Dad)
I hope and pray that you are all having a blessed easter today. Snow and all!
I don't know why my previous comment wasn't published, but, I wanted to write again to say that I am praying for your beautiful Maria and that I celebrate her wonderful one year anniversary. I also wanted to say "thank you" for being there for Marc and Emily during this terrible time. God bless your family and your beautiful little girl. Sophie's great aunt Lynne
I pray that God will bless Maria with a miracle. Just watching some of the video links on this site I can see that He has already blessed her with strong, faith-filled parents. May He bless you all with continued strength and courage. You can count on my prayers from Pennsylvania.
